#ACCE23 is heading west to Salt Lake City!

ACCE is heading west to Salt Lake City for #ACCE23. Nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges, this capital city sits at an elevation of over 4,000 feet and is bordered by the largest saltwater lake in the northern hemisphere. There’s plenty to discover in the Beehive State.

Salt Lake boasts “The Greatest Snow on Earth.”

It’s science (and trademarked). The combination of climate conditions over the ski resorts in the Wasatch Mountains, which border Salt Lake City, is the reason many believe Utah snow is best for deep-powder skiing and riding. The phenomenon is called floatation, and here’s how it works.

The air might be dry, but the city isn’t.

Salt Lake’s weather reflects its location in an arid mountain desert. While you may not get to hit the slopes at #ACCE23, attendees will be able to enjoy a blossoming food and drink scene in the city. The lore is that it might be hard to enjoy an adult beverage in Salt Lake, but it’s as easy to get a drink there as anywhere else, provided you’re of legal drinking age. There’s even a Salt Lake Brewery Pass featuring 14 local breweries and brewpubs in the city.

There’s plenty to see and do.

While Salt Lake is best known for outdoor recreation, including the more than 20 national parks and monuments within a few hours’ drive, there’s a flurry of indoor activity in the city, too. Utah ranks first for live arts participation per capita, so get in on the action with a visit to one of the city’s many art galleries or museums. Take a break for some retail therapy or check out the Salt Lake Connect Pass, which gets you into 17 local attractions.

Embrace the new.

Salt Lake City has seen some major investments recently, including building a new airport that opened in 2020 and the construction of the #ACCE23 home base, the Hyatt Regency, which will open this fall. Plus, the convention district is compact, making it quick and easy to enjoy local restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

Mark your calendars from July 31 to August 3, 2023, to join ACCE and a thousand chamber industry professionals in Salt Lake City. Learn the latest trends and techniques, network with your peers and get inspired at #ACCE23.
